Use your Photography Skills Pro Bono to Help Tell Compelling Stories

The pro bono Photographer takes digital photographs to further the narrative and messaging goals on Annual Report, Brochure, or Website projects for a nonprofit client. A successful Photographer can select content and a style to best meet the project’s communication goals and feels comfortable collaborating with writers and designers.

A successful Photographer:

  • Has 3 years of professional experience in photography
  • Must provide a portfolio that demonstrates comfort with a range of subjects and styles.

A Service Grant project requires a 3-5 hour commitment each week over the course of approximately 6 months. This opportunity is flexible enough to work around the schedule of a full-time job.

Our goal is to ensure that one day all organizations with promising solutions will be equipped to successfully take on urgent social challenges. To date, we have engaged close to 7,700 professionals on close to 2,300 pro bono projects benefiting education, health, environment, social service, and arts initiatives.

Taproot Foundation is a nonprofit organization that makes business talent available to organizations working to improve society. We engage marketing, technology, strategy, design, and HR management professionals in pro bono projects, called Service Grants, which benefit local nonprofits. Our goal is to ensure that one day all organizations with promising solutions will be equipped to successfully take on urgent social challenges. To date, we have engaged over 4,500 professionals on more than 1,000 pro bono projects benefiting education, health, environment, social service, and arts initiatives.
