Planning for the 2017 Denver Walk to Cure Arthritis is underway and we want you to join the Planning Committee!
The Arthritis Foundation’s Walk to Cure Arthritis is an annual event that supports our mission to conquer the disease by spreading awareness and raising money for research aimed at finding a cure. Arthritis is the number one cause of disability in America-affecting one in every five adults, an estimated 300,000 children and countless families. Whether you are close to the disease or simply looking for an inspiring charity event, Walk to Cure Arthritis is a great way to experience the power of standing together and giving back to the community.
The Walk to Cure Arthritis Planning Committee collaborates with staff and volunteers to create and implement the vision of the event. We are looking for committee members to help in many areas, including: marketing and publicity; team recruitment; canvassing; food and beverage donation procurement; and mission delivery at the event.
Meetings are held every month for approximately an hour and a half, with much of the work being done between meetings and at members' availability. The Denver Walk to Cure Arthritis will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Wash Park in Denver.
This committee is a fun and rewarding way to support people with arthritis in our community. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity and want to be a part of a great and energetic team please contact us at pbonman@arthritis.org.
