As the Treasurer you would assist in managing the finances for the organization. You will help in developing budgets, allocation of funds and developing a long-term financial plan for the organization. As a start-up nonprofit, this is an integral, hands-on volunteer role in the organization.
We are looking for individuals who understand and are committed to Vikara Village’s mission and core values to join our working Board as we grow and move our mission forward. We are helping youth develop a healthy sense of self, community and belonging! Vikara Village uses the communal spirit of yoga and the arts to empower youth to reach their full potential. We run three programs including two yoga programs and a hip hop arts program.
Because we are a small, up-and-coming nonprofit, our Board Members have the opportunity to be fully involved and are very hands-on with our program. If you're looking for Board service that goes beyond the conference room, this is a great fit!
Your service will bring hope, strength and compassion to youth in marginalized communities. If you would like to speak to us in more detail about this opportunity please contact us at info[at]vikaravillage.org or visit our web site at: www.vikaravillage.org.
