Mission Statement

The Pageant of Hope honors girls ranging from the ages of 6 to 25 with special needs or challenges in a National Pageant where dreams really do come true. We work to instill the tools for being successful in life regardless of their disability. The core tools are self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Our Priincess will radiate with these principles on the day of the pageant and hopefully every day thereafter. We believe that these core tools and principles are the ones that they will use to become independent adults and contributing members of society.

Along with the Pageant of Hope, we offer technology, interest mobility based scholarships for these girls such as a special scooter or bike or a specialized lap top or speaking device. These item will again help them in their community, at school and at home.

Description

The Pageant of Hope offers a Pageant for girls with Special Needs and Challenges between the ages of 6 and 25. We also hold workshops that will help the girls find their confidence, self esteem and motivation to become as independent as they can be. We also have a variety of functions throughout the year that the girls attend and participate that also reinforces these goals that we set for them. At the Pageant of Hope all the participants are crowned as princesses. We beleive that each one of them is so special and they needs to believe in themselves and see the beauty inside as well as the abilities they have instead of the disability people see.
