Homework Central's after-school tutoring program, serving 3rd, 4th, and 5th-graders in San Mateo, is seeking virtual volunteers to help students with their schoolwork.

Distance learning has increased our need for schoolwork assistance and you can make all the differnce! As a virtual tutor you will:
* Complete a 45-minute user friendly tutorial
* Be matched with one student
* Conduct 1 hour weekly tutoring sessions
Hours: 3-5pm Monday - Thursday between 3-6pm

The mission of Homework Central is to assist children in developing their capacity to learn and achieve through homework assistance and family support.

Description

Homework Central is an after-school tutoring program for 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders in the San Mateo-Foster City School District. We operate at four community sites from September to May providing individualized and group tutoring in English, reading, and math. Homework Central is a nonprofit organization focused on educational equity for disadvantaged students ensuring that they have the same opportunities as their peers.
