Seeking Volunteers for In-person After School Tutoring in San Mateo

Homework Central's after-school tutoring program, which serves 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in San Mateo, seeks volunteers to help students with their schoolwork.

COVID-19 and distance learning increased our need for schoolwork assistance, and YOU can make all the difference! As an after-school tutor, you need to:
* Complete a virtual or in-person training
* Commit to 2 hours per week for at least 18 weeks
* Hours: Mon, Tues, Thur, and Friday 3-5 or 3-6 depending on the school site; Wed 1-3:15 or 1-5 pm
* Receive community service hours
* Persons over 18 must also complete a LiveScan background check and provide proof of TB clearance

This is a great fit for anyone seeking an opportunity to impact students. It's also great for High School and College students seeking community service hours.
