Patient Ambassadors will visit patients in their rooms to talk about Magee’s discharge processes and most importantly to reassure and address patients concerns for what happens after Magee. The volunteer will verbally review guest book and what it entails with new admissions to help them stay informed of their opportunities while at Magee and afterwards. Patient Ambassadors are there to answer the questions and concerns of the patient and present textual information in an interesting and informative way.

About Magee Rehabilitation Hospital

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is nationally recognized for its outstanding programs in physical and cognitive rehabilitation, with comprehensive services for spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputation, and orthopedic injuries.

Magee has been rated as one of America's leading rehabilitation hospitals in U.S. News & World Report's annual "America's Best Hospitals" rankings. Accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Magee was the first facility in the nation to be CARF-accredited in brain injury rehabilitation.

Magee, in conjunction with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, serves as the federally designated Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley. One of only 14 such centers in the country.

Inpatient services are delivered at Magee's main campus located at Sixteenth & Race Streets in Center City Philadelphia. Outpatient programs are delivered through Magee's outpatient network, including the Magee Riverfront outpatient center at 1500 South Columbus Boulevard, Magee at Watermark in Center City, and Magee at Oxford Valley.
