Join us in our BRAND NEW 4,000 sq. ft. Gift Tree! Volunteers will greet customers; assist with purchases; gift wrap; blow up balloons; take flowers to patients rooms; use register to ring up and complete sale. Help stock, dust, and keep inventory. All proceeds are returned back to the hospital.
Need: Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 12pm-4pm

Volunteers at Baton Rouge General are committed to supporting patients and families through compassionate service and care. From offering a warm smile and cheerful "hello" to visitors, to helping someone find the perfect gift for a loved one, to assisting patients and families in Surgery Waiting Area, our volunteers are dedicated to service excellence. Our volunteers are an essential part of our Community of Caring, impacting so many of the General's patients, visitors, friends, doctors, nurses and staff. They provide the little extras that help to create that special experience people have come to know and love at the General.
Description
We are a not for profit hospital which is community owned. Our volunteers have an Auxiliary which returns all profits from fundraisers and the gift shops to the hospital at year-end to purchase medical equipment, security equipment, and interior updates.
