The Seagoville Animal Shelter is the only municipal animal shelter in the State of Texas with a live release rate of over 96%! That is thanks to volunteers who help our animals get adopted by raising money for spays, neuters, vaccines and microchips and taking the animals to off-site adoption events at places like Petco, Tractor Supply and many others. Our volunteers walk, bathe, train, photograph, video and network our shelter pets to give them the best possible chance at finding their new family. We are always looking for new volunteers who want to make a difference in the life of a shelter pet. No experience is necessary but this will be the experience of a lifetime and something you can carry with you the rest of your life. You will go home with a feeling of accomplishment knowing you saved a life. Print out our volunteer application at the link below and join our team of hardworking, dedicated volunteers who breathe new hope into the lives of lost and abandoned pets who have plenty of love to give. The purpose of the Seagoville Animal Shelter is to facilitate the placement of stray and unwanted animals and pets in desirable homes; to establish and maintain an animal shelter and associated procedures which promote the health, care and handling, and prevent over population and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The animals in our care, our guests, are never euthanized merely because we lack space or because the animal’s stay with us has exceeded a predefined amount of time."
The Seagoville Animal Shelter is the first No Kill municipal animal shelter in the State of Texas. We are a small shelter with many needs but we do not lack compassion for the animals in our care.
