During these uncertain times, how can we help?

San Leandro Community Food Pantry
Volunteer at the San Leandro Community Food Pantry! We are deemed an essential service, and provide groceries to those in need every Thursday evening. We follow all the Alameda County Department of Health and San Leandro requirements for COVID-19 safety. You will need a mask, answer a few basic questions, gloves are provided, and temps are screened. Please don't come if you have a fever or cough, or have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.
We need people to help set up, hand out food, clean up. 4:30 - 8:15 pm on Thursday evenings. Food giveaway is from 5:30 pm - 8 pm. We distribute groceries to our clients on a "client-choice" basis. What that means is that we set the food out on tables and clients go through and select the items they can use. Our goal is to treat everyone equally, with a smile, and help everyone make their choices. We serve 180 -220 clients each pantry event. Please contact Noel for more information and to schedule a pantry date to volunteer. We can accommodate groups of 8 - 10 volunteers at each event.
