Handi-Riders Therapeutic Equestrian Program is looking for volunteers to assist our riders in their riding and horsemanship pursuits. Horse leaders, side-walkers and people who enjoy working with children and adults are needed. No horse experience necessary, we will provide training. Fall classes will begin September 21 through November 12, 2016. Volunteer times for the 2016 fall session will be Wednesdays @ 3:00pm, and 4:30pm, Fridays @ 3:00pm and 4:30pm, and Saturday mornings @ 9:00am, 10:30am and 12:00 noon. Volunteer training will be held on September 7 @ 5:00pm and September 10 @ 10:30am. Handi-Riders of Northern California Inc. mission is to establish, maintain and operate therapeutic horseback riding programs for the physically, developmentally and emotionally challenged.

Our goal is to provide a year-round program for individuals with special needs in Butte, Glenn and Tehama Counties. Many of our riders have been in our program since its beginning, and our client population continues to grow each session. Handi-Riders is committed to providing a therapeutic service dedicated to the success and joy of riding.
