Join a dynamic group of volunteers who become VIEWS volunteers. VIEWS is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides emotional support to older adults in the Metro area through our Conversations on Aging "workshops." If you enjoy working with people 55 or over, have great listening skills, and have some experience with facilitation or non-directive group work, this could be a perfect opportunity for you. Conversation topics include grief and loss, health concerns, loneliness and isolation, family relationships, life transitions as well as the positive aspects of aging. Expertise in subject matter is not required. Training is provided and each topic includes a Facilitator Guide and participant materials. After completion of the one-day (6 hour) training volunteers are asked to commit to facilitation of a minimum one Conversation a month. Volunteers can also expect ongoing education and support through monthly volunteer meetings. VIEWS recognizes that it’s so much easier when people have an opportunity to share the challenges of aging with peers. Come and be part of a program that provides support for seniors by seniors. Please see our website,, for information and the online application, or contact: Peter Walsh, VIEWS Program Manager, (503-261-6181)
