South County Habitat for Humanity is searching for reliable, motivated and friendly volunteers to work in our ReStore!

The ReStore accepts donations of new or gently used home goods and re-sells them to the public and an extremely discounted rate, proceeds to go South County Habitat's mission of building homes.

Seeking: Long-Term ReStore Volunteers!

Commitment: 1 shift per week; at least 6 months - 1 year

Departments: Cashiering & Donation Processing

No previous experience is necessary! Just a willingness to learn and enthusiasm for Habitat's mission.

Cashiers volunteer at least one shift per week. Tasks include: Greeting customers, operating sales counter, operating cash register, responding to customer inquiries, answering and processing phone calls, directing customers to appropriate departments, and assisting as needed. Alternating Saturday shifts needed.

Donation Processors volunteer at least one shift per week. Tasks include: Greeting donors, in-take of donations, carry items from processing to its designated department for sale, cleaning and organizing donations as they arrive to prepare for sale, operate donation pricing system. Tuesday and Friday shifts needed.

Formal on-site training is provided, wearing a mask is mandatory if you are not vaccinated! Volunteers receive a 10% store discount on purchases and help the store accomplish it's mission to support the construction of housing for low-income families by reusing, recycling, and selling materials and furnishings donated by the community.
