Arts at the Armory

Learn what goes on behind-the-scenes at an arts center! Support our Finance team and Accounts Payable by enter and tracking bills, invoices, payments, and more. Tasks include:

  • attach check stubs to paid invoices and file
  • maintain manual check register
  • investigate uncashed checks and resolve as needed
  • enter debit card purchases into QB
  • enter vendor bills into QB (from invoices we put in folder and those in the ap-ar email account)
  • review vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as needed

You'll be entering data into our financial system (Quickbooks), and helping management get the answers they need for all sorts of financial questions.

Previous Quickbooks experience helps, but is not required; we'll teach you what you need to know for this position.

We'd love to have someone local to the Greater Boston area in the role but remote / viritual work is definitely a possibility.

Description

The Center for the Arts at the Armory is an award-winning organization whick transformed an historic armory into a community arts center. Recognizing that arts can bridge cultural, class and generational devides in our society, Arts at the Armory showcases visual and literary arts and features dance, theater and musical performances. We also offer art education classes. Through executing our mission and vision, Arts at the Armory creates life-long opportunities for children, youth and adults to learn and celebrate the meaning of art in their lives.
