Come join our Trail Patrol Team!

Enjoy the outdoors, learn about plants and wildlife, and provide an extra set of eyes and ears to keep our Reserve beautiful. Trail Patrol Volunteers conduct monthly monitoring hikes throughout Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve. With over 11 miles of trails to maintain and thousands of annual visitors, our volunteers help is essential to keeping our park pristine! Volunteers are also invited to exclusive field trips around the county and special trainings/workshops.

Saturday 1/19/19 - 9:00-12:00 pm


Help monitor Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve, to sign up you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • allow us to run a background check
  • attend the training session
  • contribute a one-time $40 TrailPatrol application fee (of which $20 is a refundable deposit)
  • obtain First Aid/AED/CPR certification
  • patrol at least 3-hours per month (exceptions permitted)

Mission Statement

The Escondido Creek Conservancy (TECC) is dedicated to the preservation, enhancement and protection of the natural open space within the Escondido Creek Watershed. We support educational programs and compatible outdoor recreation within the watershed for the benefit of all residents of the area.

Description

The Escondido Creek Conservancy (TECC) is a non-profit, public benefit, corporation, incorporated in 1991, dedicated to the preservation, restoration and protection of the natural open space within the Escondido Creek watershed. TECC believes the natural lands within the watershed are an irreplaceable natural asset with great community value. We support educational programs and compatible outdoor recreation within the watershed. TECC has formed alliances with landowners, government agencies, and education and community groups to increase awareness of the invaluable resources intrinsic to the Escondido Creek watershed. TECC’s Board of Directors is comprised of committed local volunteers with expertise in business, science, land use planning, education, recreation, and restoration of natural landscapes.
