ORGANIZATION: Hospice of the Western Reserve

Hospice of the Western Reserve serves patient's wherever they consider home. Patient's may live in private residences, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes.

We are currently looking for volunteers who are willing to make visits to provide general companionship visits in long-term care facilities or respite visits (2-3 hour commitment) in patient's private residences. We are also looking for volunteers who would be willing to provide light housekeeping for patients.

Volunteers should have good listening skills and be able to maintain patient confidentiality.

Description

Hospice of the Western Reserve provides care for patients where ever they call home, whether that be at home, in a nursing home, assisted living, one of our inpatient units, or in a hospital. Care is provided regardless of ability to pay. We use a team approach where volunteers are of equal importance to all other members of the team.

Hospice of the Western Reserve serves Northern Ohio with offices in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, and Summit counties.
