Broad Range of Hospice Volunteers Needed! NorthCare Hospice relies on the services of volunteers to accomplish its mission of offering excellence in care, comfort, and support to terminally ill patients and their families. NorthCare Hospice is currently looking for dedicated and caring people to become volunteers. NorthCare has many volunteer opportunities in the areas of patient interaction, office support, hospice house, and many specialized programs. Our specialized programs include friendly pet visits, recording and editing of Lifetime Legacy Videos, No One Dies Alone, Veteran to Veteran, and the Teen Program. The duties and time required for each volunteer position vary. This allows each volunteer to choose a program that is rewarding and allows for a wide variety of scheduling needs. Volunteer trainings are available throughout the year. For the safety of our patients our volunteers must complete an application process which includes volunteer profile, background check, 2 step TB screening, and drug test. Volunteers are currently needed in the following cities: Blue Springs, Excelsior Springs, Gladstone, Gower, Grain Valley, Hardin, Harrisonville, Holt, Independence, Kansas City, Kearney, Lees Summit, Liberty, North Kansas City, Oak Grove, Orrick, Parkville, Platte City, Plattsburg, Pleasant Valley, Raymore, Raytown, Riverside, and Smithville.
