Solid Ground's Tutoring program matches you 1:1 with a student in grades K-8 who lives in our supportive housing communities. Together, you'll work with your student on homework help and learning enrichment each week. Volunteers are needed to serve at least 1 hour per week (or more if desired) over the course of a school semester., however one-time & on-call opportunities are available as well. Tutoring is available year-round with Fall, Spring & Summer sessions.
Times needed are Mondays-Thursdays:
- 2:30-3:30pm - Elementary I
- 3:30-4:30pm - Elementary II
- 4:30-5:30pm - Middle School

Description
Solid Ground is an award winning nonprofit organization whose proven, holistic approach helps families build the strong foundations they need to emerge from homelessness into a brighter future. Through safe, affordable transitional and permanent supportive housing and innovative supportive programming, Solid Ground helps families transition to a higher-level of self-sufficiency and break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for the next generation. Solid Ground currently runs eight programs in suburban Ramsey and Washington Counties housing nearly 700 women, men and children annually.
