Hospital stays are at times lonely and frightening. This program aims to provide patients a compassionate and supportive experience. Volunteers add value to our already excellent clinical staff by assisting nurses with patient care on the medical and surgical units.

Description

Introducing NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The former Coney Island Hospital is now a modern health care campus redesigned to serve all of South Brooklyn and neighboring communities. Our campus and its new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital features world-class emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of the art surgical services. Our spacious new Health & Wellness Institute offers a full array of outpatient services-from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults-all designed to keep our community healthy.

There’s a lot that’s new on campus, but some things remain the same: our love and respect for our community, our skilled and compassionate health care teams who live and work in the community, and our mission to provide excellent care for all. We believe that everyone deserves the highest quality of care, regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.
