Mission Statement
Lutheran Hospice, under the direction of professional health care providers, pledges to offer those who are sick and dying, as well as their families, palliative and holistic care, allowing the individual an opportunity to spend his/her last days of life comfortably, with dignity, respect, self-determination, surrounded by family and considerate caregivers at home or in a home-like atmosphere. The hospice also promises to be faithful to the family by embracing them in care and guiding them through the psychological and emotional distress so often experienced, realizing that above all else, there are unique circumstances and spiritual concerns which need to be respected and addressed, not only at the death of a loved one, but in the days of bereavement that follow.
Description
Lutheran Hospice is a non-profit ministry based program that provides care and support to members of our community who are facing end of life. During the final months and weeks of life, patients and their caregivers/family members often need understanding and specialized care from people who understand the complex problems, issues and emotions that occur during this timeperiod. Spiritual, physical (medical), and emotional support are provided by a highly trained team of professionals and volunteers.
