CHEW Dog Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned dogs and those in high-kill shelters and finding them permanent loving homes. CHEW is in need of volunteers to provide temporary in-home care until these dogs are adopted. All veterinary care is paid for by CHEW. Why Foster?
Not everyone can make the commitment to own a dog. Fostering dogs until we find their forever homes helps to socialize and train the dogs to trust and love people again.
We are an all foster home based rescue. We do not operate out of a kennel or shelter. Our rescued dogs are in temporary homes where they are learning good doggie manners while they wait for their new families to find them. We post pictures of our animals on our web site, Facebook and PetFinder.com. We work with potential adopters to find a time to meet one of our special animals.

CHEW is a non-profit dog rescue organization dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of canine companions throughout the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Additionally, we promote responsible dog ownership through the facilitation of educational and recreational activities and events.
CHEW Dog Rescue is an all volunteer run foster home based dog rescue in Gig Harbor, WA. We have foster homes ranging from Lakewood to Bremerton. Currently we hold four adoption events a month. Our rescue is fairly young and we would love to build it up. We average around 100 adoptions a year. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and have seen the vet. Please check out our website www.chewdogrescue.org
