Be a positive & happy presence for children!
New Beginnings mission is to provide shelter, advocacy and support for survivors of domestic violence and their children; and to change attitudes and social institutions that foster and perpetuate violence. Volunteer your time to provide gentle and attentive care to children while their moms attend support group. Play with kids ages infant to 11 years old! Play games together, read stories, watch Disney movies, play outside and just have fun!
We have an openings for this role on Monday mornings in North Seattle (10:15am-12:45pm) and/or Wednesday & Thursday evenings (5:45pm-8:15pm in North Seattle/Shoreline). Until the application process is complete, our location is confidential, but we are located in North Seattle (within a 15-minute drive of Northgate). We ask for a six-month commitment.

New Beginnings provides services to those whose lives have been affected by domestic violence - physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. Some who use our services are in physical danger. Others are living with controlling partners in relationships that are emotionally abusive.
New Beginnings provides shelter, support and advocacy to those affected by domestic violence.
