Youth & Government delegate campaigning for elected office.

Are you interested in participating in a program which changes the lives of teenagers by teaching them how the California government functions?

The YMCA Youth & Government is a model legislature and court program for high school students across California. The motto for the program is "Democracy must be learned by each generation." Participants learn leadership, public speaking and most importantly, civic engagement.

The Albany YMCA is looking for adults (21 ) interested in volunteering with our Youth & Government delegation. Meetings for Youth & Government are held one night per week (Monday from 7:30-9:00pm) from September through February.
