We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help with our Helping Harvest Gardens in McDonough and Locust Grove, Ga. These gardens are solely for growing and donating fresh produce to help hunger relief in Henry County, Ga. We donate to local food pantries and other non-profits who help needy families.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote a greater sense of community through gardening. We offer educational and learning opportunities to gardeners of all ages. We provide a food source for community gardeners and make some donations to needy families. We preserve time-tested gardening skills for future generations and we are being good stewards of the environment and green space.
Description
Community Gardens of Henry County serves the residents of Henry County, Ga
We now have two gardens in the county. The Heritage Park Garden is managed by Henry County under the local UGA Agricultural Extension Service and gives first priority to senior citizens and the handicapped.
The Wesley Way Garden is adjacent to Wesley Way United Methodist Church, east of McDonough. Plots are available on a first come basis. There is a one time membership fee of $25, with an annual plot fee of $50. Members must abide by the regulations of CGHC and keep their plots tended.
