Looking for that short-term project that has long-term, positive impact on the community? The Marion County Public Library System hosts a number of special programs and events throughout the calendar year and needs volunteers who can assist.
Examples of programs and events include: the Colossal, Reading, Entertaining Artsy, Teen Event (CREATE); the Fairy Tale Extravaganza; and the Summer Library Programming events.
Volunteers will help staff prepare for the event, setting up displays, taking registration or a variety of other activities, depending upon the program/event. For volunteers who are looking for a fun, one-time event, with lots of activity and excitement, this is for you. Many events occur on the weekends, while some events do occur during the week. Library events target all age groups from tiny tots to adults!
