VITAS Volunteers promote hospice care by helping office staff prepare mailings, maintaining patient records, assist assist with computer work, filing, or stocking supplies, copying, faxing, preparing packets and assist with special projects. Come in during the day or afternoons to help us make a difference. Excellent experience for future employment, references available.

All volunteers are required to attend a comprehensive orientation to gain the knowledge you will need to understand the Medicare Hospice Benefit. For admin volunteers, these are currently held online via a Zoom and self-study combination.

Description

Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteer for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in your community throughout San Diego County.
