We are looking for volunteers to help senior neighbors with lawn care and outdoor projects. This could include planting, weeding, mowing and maybe some light maintenance work. In most cases the homeowners have equipment.
Many of our senior neighbors have lived in their homes for many years. These are homes that they have may have raised their families in. Helping them maintain their property lends to the pride of ownership they feel for their homes and helps to keep your neighborhood looking good too!
This is a great family service opportunity!

The mission of the NORTH END-SOUTH COMO BLOCK NURSE PROGRAM is to maintain levels of independence for our neighborhood seniors through the collaborative efforts of volunteers, professional staff and contracted in-home nursing services. Proudly helping neighborhood seniors since 1987
Description
We are a non-profit community based home-care agency supported by grants, city, county and state funding, and the generous donations of our neighbors.
It is our goal to have a volunteer readily available whenever a senior or their family member calls for help!
By bringing together volunteers and older people, we can serve as a bridge to building stronger communities, the same commuinities they helped to build. Stronger communities can in turn better meet the needs and develop the strengths of people living there now and in the future.
