Take the lead in supporting young people in ongoing one-on-one and group mentoring relationships. Serve as a mentor with a goal of being a positive role model and building trust with youth by participating in athletic (Basketball, Football, Baseball) practices and competitions together. You'll have the opportunity to strive for mutual respect, foster self-esteem and motivation with kids from the Austin community of Chicago, Illinois. Volunteers have the opportunity to help as a head coach, assistant coach, team manager, strength and conditioning coach or a athletic trainer with both our youth sports club and our feeder school, Rowe-Clark Math & Science Academy. One qualified candidate could be awarded a $1,000 stipend for excellent service. Are you up for the task?

Requirements & Commitment

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Minimum of 8 Hours A Week for 3 Months
  • No Previous Coaching Experience is Required. ASEP or PCA Double Goal Coaching Certificate Preferred.
