Community Violence Solutions (CVS) is dedicated to working in partnership with the community to end sexual assault and family violence through prevention, crisis services, and treatment. Formerly calledRapeCrisis Center, CVS was founded by the Greater Richmond Interfaith Program in 1974 and incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1977. Since then, CVS has expanded its services to all of Contra Costa andMarinCounties.
Community Violence Solutions is a non-profit agency that relies on financial donations and efforts of dozens of community volunteers.
Position Description
Support the functions of the prevention department by upkeeping and updating curriculum, handouts and miscellaneous supplies needed for presentations. The prevention services associate will work closely with the Rape Prevention Educator in prepping materials for multiple presentations with school staff, parents and students (ages 6-17).
Position Requirements
Prefer detail oriented people. Be willing to learn about Rape Prevention work. Dedicated to issues surrounding Sexual Violence. Have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Docs, Data Entry and Gmail. This position requires someone who is independently driven.

Description
Position Description
As the 5 week educator you will be conducting a series of presentations targeted to students at the elementary level for a total of 5 weeks; availability will determine frequency of presentations; minimum once a week for 4 weeks, maximum 3 days a week for 5 weeks.
The curriculum contains the following topics:
- Feelings
- Bullying
- Sexual Assault
- Unwanted Sexual Attention
(Unwanted Sexual Attention is a topic only covered in 5 th and 6 th grades)
Position Requirements
Must be willing to be interviewed and attend prevention training prior to beginning presentations. Must want to work with youth at the elementary school level grades 1-6 th (ages 6-12). Must feel comfortable communicating with School Staff.
