Volunteers are the backbone of Miracle League of Milwaukee. We are seeking individuals and/or groups to serve as Buddies, base coaches, home plate helpers, managers, help out out with our concession stand, and so much more to make this program possible, successful, and memorable.
Miracle League of Milwaukee allows children and teenagers who have have physical, intellectual, and/or cognitive disabilities the opportunity to get outside and play the game of baseball! All players are partnered with volunteers, known as "buddies," who assist these players during the game of baseball. Each player bats once per inning, all players are safe on the bases, and every player scores a run before the inning ends!
The season starts the week of June 12 through the week of July 17. Games are Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Mission Statement
For more than 150 years, the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee has been strengthening the foundations of our communities. We've been putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Description
At the Y, our mission is centered on balance. We encourage good health and foster connections through fitness, sports, philanthropy and other shared interests. I n the process, we build relationships within families, between neighbors and around the world.
The vision of the Milwaukee Y is a stronger, healthier Milwaukee where families of all incomes and backgrounds truly thrive. Our impact in Milwaukee is widespread, from teaching thousands of kids to swim each year to being one of the only safe spaces open seven-days-a-week in the neighborhoods we serve to helping to reduce the diabetes epidemic through proven, targeted programs. We also believe that lasting personal and social change happens in the places where our members live, work and play. That’s why in addition to our center-based programming, we are committed to being vocal advocates for healthy families and partnering with others to improve the greater good in Milwaukee beyond our four walls.
