Rape Response

Rape Response, Inc. is a United Way agency serving victims of sexual assault ages 13 and older with support, advocacy and education in Dawson, Hall, Habersham, Forsyth, Lumpkin & White Counties.

Volunteers are trained to answer calls on our 24/7 crisis hotline and to provide medical accompaniment in the Emergency Room during forensic medical exams. Volunteers are on call two week nights or one weekend per month and are free to maintain their own schedules. Potential volunteers must be 18 or older and attend all training sessions.

The next training will be held on the following dates/time. Attendance at all training sessions is required.

Sat. February 4th, 2017 - 8 am - 4:30 pm
Sat. February 11th, 2017 - 8 am - 4:30 pm
Thurs. February 16th, 2017 - 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Mission Statement

Rape Response serves as a system of support, education, and advocacy, providing services to the community and to survivors of sexual assault while safeguarding the dignity of each person served.


Volunteers undergo training so that they can respond to crisis calls. They also accompany victims to the hospital and provide on-going support during forensic exams.

Trainings are held twice a year. Interested volunteers are encouraged to visit www.raperesponse.com or call Rape Response for the next available training dates.
