Forgotten Cats is in urgent need of foster homes to provide love, care, and a positive home environment for our kittens and cats. Most of our foster needs are for kittens. Usually a litter of kittens needs someone to provide care and socialization outside of a cage/shelter environment. Some kittens come to us without a mother, and they need frequent feeding and interaction with a human caregiver if they are to become socialized. Some cats will need as little as 3 weeks in a foster home before being eligible to go to one of our adoption centers. We also have adults who need a period of time outside of the shelter, either because they are shy or traumatized from their life before they were rescued. All of our cats and kittens will have tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, will have all their vaccinations. and will be spayed or netuered (except for kittens under 8 weeks). Training and ongoing support will be provided. All you need is a room separate from your other pets, your cats to be up to date on their vaccines, and a loving heart. Please help us help these cats and kittens.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to humanely reduce the homeless and unwanted cat population through Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR). Forgotten Cats finds homes for socialized cats through two PetSmart Adoption Centers in Delaware and three in Pennsylvania. We sterilize an average of 1000 cats in our two medical clinics and adopt out 80-100 socialized cats each month.
Description
By working with colony caretakers throughout Pennsylania, Delaware, and New Jersey, Forgotten Cats will trap, neuter, and return an entire colony, sterilizing and vaccinating all cats and providing medical treatment when necessary. Tame cats and kittens are transferred into our foster care system until properly socialized and eventually adopted into loving homes.
Most rescue groups' efforts are limited to finding homes for homeless cats, but the number of homeless cats and kittens born each day far exceed the number of homes available. That's why Forgotten Cats works to solve the unwanted cat probelm permanently and humanely. We also offer low-cost spay/neuter services and vaccinations to the general public, and provide education about spaying and neutering and the pet overpopulation problem.
