Patient visitation, life review, discuss hobbies & interests, current events, read or sing to patient, accompany patient outside if appropriate, companionship & socialization, monitor & report progress to hospice team. May sit with patient while caregiver runs errands, but no hands-on care. Communication with hospice team and dependability for patients and families. Compassionate, caring, good listening skills, able to sit quietly at times if needed. Interest in others & their life stories, own transportation, able to complete & mail in documentation after each visit.
Everyone needs a break sometime. This family is requesting time to get out togehter and will work around volunteers schedule. Please contact me if you can hep.
