We are seeking volunteers to help with a jail-themed event. The Waikiki Lock-Up consists of "jailbirds" who are community leaders that have agreed to raise their "bail" on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. At the event, the jailbirds turn in their bail, receive their warrants, take their picture behind bars in our jail cell, and eat our gourmet version of bread and water. Volunteers are needed from 10 AM to 2 PM in the following roles.
- Arresting Officer
- Check in
- Check out
- Judge
- Mugshot shooter (camera provided)
- transporting jailbirds back to their workplaces (For this role, a vehicle will be provided but you must be military, police, or a firefighter)
Lunch will be provided for volunteers. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for this fun event! Call 593-4454 or email jguess@mdausa.org

Mission Statement
MDA is leading the fight to free individuals -- and the families who love them -- from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. We use our collective strength to help kids and adults live longer and grow stronger by finding research breakthroughs across diseases; caring for individuals from day one; and empowering families with services and support in hometowns cross America. Programs available through MDA are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors. MDA receives no government grants.
