Mission Statement
For over 40 years the 104th Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol, (G-COP), has been the extended eyes and ears for the NYPD in Glendale, Middle Village, Maspeth & Ridgewood. G-COP is the oldest, largest and most active civilian patrol in the City of New York. We patrol the streets of our neighborhood and via radio report all police fire of medical emergencies to the proper authorities. Due to the lack of police manpower in the 104th Precinct, G-COP urges all concerned residents of the community to help us preserve, protect and enhance the quality of life in the neighborhood. To become a G-COP/104COP volunteer you must be: 1. A resident of the 104th precinct. 2. 18 to 80 years of age. 3. No felony convictions. You will be subject to NYPD background checks. For more information visit our website at: www.104cop.org
