JFS of Metrowest is looking for bilingual mentors (Portuguese/English) to help with All Stars, an after-school program for 3rd grade students at the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham. Volunteers provide mentoring and tutoring support for students in the areas of English, math, homework and enrichment activities. You'll work with a small group of bilingual students helping them stay on task, ensuring they understand the material and support them with general needs. Most of all you'll be a positive role model and develop meaningful relationships with the students.
Qualifications include interest in working with elementary aged children, interest in helping students improve academic performance, strong interpersonal skills, English language proficiency, Bilingual in English and Portuguese, experience in education a plus, Reference and CORI check required.
Volunteers needed for Monday or Tuesday afternoons from 2:45-5:15p weekly.
