Individual volunteers are needed M-F 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. to help work with adults with intellectual disabilities on an organic farm in Buffalo, MN that provides a source of employment for them. Opportunities include caring for plants, planting, watering, weeding, watering, harvesting, instructing, helping associates, and getting produce ready for market or delivery. Our associates (the people who work on the farm) LOVE what they do, and thoroughly enjoy working with and getting to know new peole from the community.
Individual volunteers should be available to volunteer at least one day a week, most weeks, for 2-3 months. Group volunteers can be scheduled on one day, or afternoon / evenings, Monday - Friday. Families with older children can volunteer, but under the age of 18, volunteers need to be supervised by an adult. There may be opportunities for Saturday morning volunteer groups as well.
