COVID- REMOTE Volunteer Voice Over Work

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Aftersight

Have you wondered what it takes to do voice over work?

The Audio Information Network of Colorado (AINC) is a non-profit (501 c 3) on the air volunteer reading service, which seeks to normalize the lives of Colorado’s blind, visually impaired, print disabled, non-English speaking, and illiterate population, by providing access to printed materials not available through another resource.

Volunteer readers are trained to be the best they can be in delivering spoken content, and to ensure this we provide training and support to our volunteers. Program assignments take into account a volunteer’s regular availability, and programming needs. Program recording sessions typically last between 45 to 90 minutes. Most volunteers start with one assigned program per week. Volunteers must be able to follow directions, and check emails, and the AINC website for updates. Volunteer Buddies program is on hold until future notice.

Volunteers read and record various Colorado newspapers, magazines, shopping ads, and any vital information that is otherwise unavailable to the print disabled members of our community.

  • Are you interested in using your skills, and talents to help others?
  • Are you interested, and willing to learning how to create quality AINC audio formatted podcasts?
  • Are you able to work with minimal supervision?
  • Are you comfortable with remote support?
  • Do you have a quiet dedicated space to record in?
  • Are you Tech savvy?

If you answered yes to the above questions, we can help you get started in learning how to produce quality audio podcasts.

  • Requirements:
We are looking for people who are good readers, that enjoy reading out loud, and who are tech savvy enough to record and send in quality audio files in time for our scheduled program on the air playback.
  • Pass a reading audition, and be able to maintain a consistent, clearly articulated reading, with good tone, and volume.
  • be tech savvy enough to be able to trouble-shoot any issues that may come up in the record or send process

Description

Our team of volunteers read and record print materials on a daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed basis. We offer English and Spanish programs.

We are always looking for volunteers that have a clear speaking voice, good language skills, and tech savvy to produce audio files for us to air and publish. Voiceover experience is a plus. This is roughly a 2 hour, weekly, remote commitment.

Fill out an application from our website (www.aincolorado.org/volunteer-application) and you will then be sent instructions to audition. If you pass, the Volunteer Coordinator will work with you to assign you a program.
