Distribution Site Chair

The Site Chair facilitates the weekly distribution of food to Brown Bag members. They are appointed by the Food Bank program staff and work together regarding distribution processes, policies & procedures. Primary responsibilities include: directly oversee the distribution process at the distribution site, ensure that food is distributed in a fair, safe and timely manner and oversee record keeping such as roster attendance, hours reporting and/or membership applications and renewals.

They also are instrumental in recruiting and training new Brown Bag volunteers. Site Chairs with consultation from program staff may choose to delegate areas of responsibilities to other Brown Bag volunteers and occasionally there may be more than one Site Chair per Brown Bag location.
