Greeters and gift shop volunteers watch the front desk, greet guests, answer phones, and operate the cash registers in the front lobby and gift shop. Greeters and gift shop volunteers are responsible for handling the money and running the registers and for being the face of the museum as they greet visitors and make them feel welcome. These volunteers work directly with the public and are vital to the museum's mission to share the history of rural North Carolina with the public.
