HI Boston is looking for fun-loving extroverts to help travelers enjoy the nightlife during their stay in Boston. Our pub crawls provide travelers with the opportunity to meet and engage with other travelers from around the work while experiencing Boston’s nightlife with the help of a local who can show them all the city has to offer (you!)
Hostelling International USA is a non-profit organization founded on an enduring belief in the power of travel to foster a deeper understanding of the people, places and the world around. We promote a dynamic community of global citizens who have the wisdom and humanity to actively make the world a better place.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Rounding up travelers at hostel and inviting all travelers hanging around common area to participate
- Engaging and sharing local information with guests
- Promoting/facilitating interaction and cultural exchange among guests
- Explaining US bar customs (age/ID requirements, tipping)
- Escorting guests to/between bar locations
- Interacting with door/bar staff and serving as a representative for HI USA

- Work to increase understanding and tolerance by helping people break down cultural barriers
- Help travelers to the community have a great travel experience

Who We Are
We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start: from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.
