Project Prosper is seeking committee members for our innovative No Interest Loan Program. We serve those Tampa Bay area immigrants and refugees who live in Pinellas, Hillsborough or Pasco County. Through our loan program, borrowers have become citizens of the United States, purchased equipment for their small business, and paid tuition for local vocational schools and colleges.
As a committee member, you will join a team of volunteers who review loan applications, assist with applicant interviews, attend planned community outreach events, and mentor new borrowers.
Our primary requirement is that you have a passion for empowering immigrants and refugees, and that you attend our scheduled committee meetings (12 per year) at our office in south Clearwater. Committee members are also asked to conduct one interview of an applicant per year (guidance is provided).

Project Prosper prepares immigrants to participate fully in the economic life of the community through financial literacy and a program of small loans with matched savings and mentoring.
