Are you a person who enjoys sharing God’s love to someone who is in need? Maybe that’s in the form of a friendly smile or hug, giving encouragement through God’s Word, or providing a short prayer. If this sounds like you, consider joining our team of compassionate Life-Line Convalescent Ministry (LLCM) volunteers who visit over 60 senior facilities every week in San Diego!

By becoming a LLCM volunteer, you will be able to serve some of our most neglected people within our community. Life-Line Room Visitors serve up to two hours per week, including travel time, and in varying capacities, as appropriate, such as listening and engaging in friendly conversation, reading to individuals, praying, leading or assisting with a Bible study, playing an instrument or singing, or evangelizing.

Although no experience is necessary, we do require that volunteers complete online registration and other requirements at www.life-lineministries.com.

Volunteers will be able to choose a local senior facility based on the proximity of his/her home or work address and each facility’s available LLCM visitation times, which may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings, typically Tuesdays through Sundays. New volunteers will be paired with a current volunteer and make room visits in groups of two.

Life-Line Convalescent Ministries was founded in February of 2000 with a vision to minister in local San Diego convalescent and retirement communities and beyond.* Our mission is to communicate God’s love in order to share the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We provide non-denominational services in the form of Bible studies, church services and friendly room visitation. All church services are based on the Word of God. Grief counseling is also provided through LLCM. (We recommend GriefShare, a national program offered in many churches throughout the country.)
