Meals on Wheels drivers - Framingham
BayPath Elder Services
BayPath Meals on Wheels is currently seeking volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious lunches to older and disabled adults in Framingham.
We provide training, mileage reimbursement, and delivery equipment. Volunteers, using their own automobile, can choose a day(s) to deliver meals. Currently, due to COVID-19 meals are being delivered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Delivery time is typically 10:00-12:00noon. CDC recommendations about social distancing have been integrated into our delivery practices. We are especially seeking volunteers who can fill in when one of our regular drivers is unable to come for their usual shift. At this time, we are seeking a 3 month commitment from new volunteers.
Delivery volunteers are required to have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, complete a 1 hour training session, pass a background check and provide proof of insurance and clean driving record. Children and students can volunteer with an adult 21 years of age or older who serves as the driver. Delivery volunteers may deliver as often as they like, but we ask for a minimum of once per week.
