BayPath Meals on Wheels is currently seeking one volunteer to deliver hot, nutritious lunches to older and disabled adults in Southborough on Wednesdays.
Southborough drivers pick up the food for delivery at the Westborough Senior Center kitchen, 4 Rogers Road, Westborough, MA.
We provide training, mileage reimbursement, and delivery equipment. Volunteers, using their own automobile, can choose a day(s) to deliver meals. Delivery time begins at 10:30 am and is completed by 12:00 noon. CDC recommendations about social distancing have been integrated into our delivery practices. At this time, we are seeking a 3 month commitment from new volunteers.
Delivery volunteers are required to have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, complete a 1 hour training session, pass a background check and provide proof of insurance and clean driving record. Children and students can volunteer with an adult 21 years of age or older who serves as the driver. Delivery volunteers may deliver as often as they like, but we ask for a minimum of once per week.
