Assist the Coordinator of Volunteers responsible for marketing the volunteer program and recruiting new volunteers in a variety of tasks. The volunteer can choose which tasks they are interested in and how much time to commit. Assistance is needed with: posting volunteer classes on website community calendars, distributing volunteer flyers to local churches, coffee shops, restaurants, community centers etc....It works well if two volunteers distribute flyers together so that one can drive and the other can hop out and post the flyers. Conduct on line research for new volunteer sources. Present volunteer opportunities to community groups. Calls to prospective volunteers to set up these presentations. Assisting with Excel spreadsheets, mail merge to mail labels, using a folder envelope stuffing machine, labeling envelopes for mass mailings. Professional presentation. willing to become knowledgeable about Hospice of the Western Reserve a must. Prior marketing or recruiting experience and proficiency with Excel and navigation of the web are a plus but not required.

Description
Hospice of the Western Reserve provides care for patients where ever they call home, whether that be at home, in a nursing home, assisted living, one of our inpatient units, or in a hospital. Care is provided regardless of ability to pay. We use a team approach where volunteers are of equal importance to all other members of the team.
Hospice of the Western Reserve serves Northern Ohio with offices in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, and Summit counties.CAUSE AREAS
