If you could go anywhere, meet anyone, be anything, or have anything you wanted...what would it be? You can inspire a child's with a life-threatening medical condition to consider that question and dream big!
Wish granting volunteers work in teams of 2 to plan and fulfill each wish and have the opportunity to make the wish as unique as each child.
Wish granters also act as liaisons between the family and the Foundation assist in seeking donated goods for the child's wish.
We are looking for volunteers who can travel to various parts of the Rio Grande Valley to help in places such as: Rio Grande City, Mission, McAllen, PSJA, Weslaco, Harlingen, Brownsville and Raymondville.

Description
Make-A-Wish Rio Grande Valley was founded in 1998 and serves the 6 southernmost counties in the state of Texas. We have granted more than 1300 wishes. All money raised in the Valley, stays to help the children of the Valley.
For a child with a critical illness, a wish is an opportunity to dream. It is a time for children to go far from the reality of doctors and hospital ... s that they face everyday, to a world of fantasy and imagination. A wish is a day, or a week without a thought of being sick and a time to just remember being a kid. The smiles, laughter, and tears of joy are symptoms that these children and families would not trade in for the world. The power of a wish cannot be measured, but we do know that many times a wish provides a reason to continue fighting.
