Interlakes Community Caregivers is looking for volunteers to act as Neighbor Liaisons.
Neighbor Liaisons support our mission to help individuals live independently in their own homes and in their daily lives. This person meets with a new neighbor to introduce them to the program and complete the paperwork necessary to register for the many free services we provide. Neighbor Liaisons also visit our neighbors to ensure we are providing the services they need.
Our services are provided by volunteers and include transportation to medical or personal appointments, help with grocery shopping, running errands, minor household chores, and friendly visits or telephone calls. We serve individuals who live in Center Harbor, Meredith, Moultonborough, and Sandwich.
Volunteer requirements include successful completion of the ICCI Volunteer Education Course (one three-hour session). If you are reliable, patient, observant, and communicate effectively, as a Neighbor Liaison you will ease our neighbors' efforts to remain independent and live the best quality of life possible. Description
Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc., a 501(c)3 volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 1998, provides nonmedical supportive services and community information to our neighbors to assist them in their daily lives. Through these services, individuals are able to more easily stay independent in their own homes and in their own community. Services include rides to medical and personal appointments, help with errands such as grocery shopping, and more. There is no charge to our neighbors for these services, nor do we receive any insurance reimbursement or state or federal agency funding, so we rely solely on charitable giving.
