Bring some sunshine into a neighbor's life! Volunteers help to alleviate social isolation by providing friendly visits. You may engage in conversation, read books and/or articles of interest, write letters to loved ones, go for short walks, or participate in activities the two of you decide upon. Patience and an ability to remain calm and adaptable will assist you as you monitor the person’s needs, likes, and dislikes. Our Volunteer Education Course will be sure you're comfortable in your role as a volunteer; Background checks on all volunteers are required.

Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc. is a 501(c)3 volunteer nonprofit organization that provides supportive services and community information to our neighbors to assist them in their daily lives.

Description

Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc., a 501(c)3 volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 1998, provides nonmedical supportive services and community information to our neighbors to assist them in their daily lives. Through these services, individuals are able to more easily stay independent in their own homes and in their own community. Services include rides to medical and personal appointments, help with errands such as grocery shopping, and more. There is no charge to our neighbors for these services, nor do we receive any insurance reimbursement or state or federal agency funding, so we rely solely on charitable giving.
