ASPIRE is an After School Program held on 12 school campuses in the City of Downey. Volunteers will assist with homework, reading activities, science experiments, art, character education, and other activities. ASPIRE operates from school dismissal until 6 pm. We are looking for students in high school and adults to volunteer.

Mission Statement
To provide a fun, safe and educational after school program that encourages the developmental growth of ASPIRE students. ASPIRE strives to enhance student social skills, personal character and educational achievement through the fostering of relationships that enrich and inspire student and family values.
Description
Volunteers will receive on-site training from the city staff members. While under staff supervision, you will assist the students with their homework or enrichment activities. You may be asked to get ready for the next activity. Volunteers cannot group together with other volunteers.
