Clerical VO

Volunteers are the heart of our mission at Hospice of Michigan! We have more than 600 dedicated volunteers across the state serving in roles that build on their strengths and abilities - whether it’s providing companionship or caregiver relief support at the patient’s bedside, raising awareness in the community about our services or in a number of administrative roles supporting office staff.

We are looking for more special individuals who live in Big Rapids, or a surrounding community, to join our growing team of wonderful volunteers! Are you someone that would like to gain experience in the office setting? Do you have an interest in serving our mission? Would you like to sharpen your skills and strengthen your resume? Perhaps you just have some extra time on your hands and enjoy clerical/administrative tasks and projects. Whatever the case may be, we would love to have you on board! Our office volunteers have a significant impact at Hospice of Michigan by assisting with various clerical tasks to allow our staff more time to provide direct care to our hospice patients and their families.

The office volunteer will assist in many different tasks that move our mission forward. This could include: assisting with filing, mailings, data entry, stuffing envelopes, reception at our front desk, etc. Good organizational skills, a compassionate heart, a sense of professionalism, and the ability to work independently is a plus for this volunteer role!

Service hours are flexible and we will most certainly work with your schedule. Please feel free to call or email Hospice of Michigan's Volunteer Program Manager Claire today to learn more about this important volunteer opportunity: 616-481-1536;

Administrative volunteer requirements: must be at least 18 years of age; complete application paperwork; agree to a background/reference check; have reliable transportation; attend a 6 hour volunteer orientation.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
