Volunteer Position Title:Second Hand Solutions Thrift Store and Coffee Shop

Description/Duties: Volunteer Sales Associate

Orientation and/or training provided: General job/program description and orientation provided.

Supervision/support provided by: Julie Murray, Job Coach/Store Manager

Minimum Age: 18

Time Commitment Required: 4hrs min daily, Tues-Sat /ongoing/one day a week or more

Physical Requirement(s) Be able to stand for long periods, 4-6 hour shift, and be able to lift 15 lbs.

Qualifications (skills, experience needed): Provide a welcoming and helpful attitude to all customers, Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times and wear appropriate work

clothing as per the Employee Handbook, Help maintain the cleanliness and neatness of store and merchandise, Store cleaning duties may include: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning restrooms,

emptying trash cans, refilling paper and soap dispensers, cleaning windows, and any other tasks as needed, Cleaning, pricing, and stocking merchandise as per store procedures, Research pricing and toy recalls on the computer when needed, Make coffee and refill coffee supplies and dispensers as needed, Help keep coffee shop equipment clean and in good working order, Assist with moving and arranging furniture and merchandise when requested, Work on any special projects as requested by the Job Coach/Store Manager.
